The RMS Queen Mary's metal cross section from the anchor chain

 

A fantastic display piece, a lovely heavy metal cross section from the R.M.S Queen Mary's anchor chain. Stamped with a black and red image of the boat, with a title of "Queen Mary / HRMS / 1935/1967," and the notation below the boat of 'Authentic Cross Section Of Link From Queen Mary Anchor Chain. Each individual link weighed 247 pounds." The piece measures 4.25" in diameter and about 1/8" thick. Accompanied by a softcover booklet, "From the Cradle to the Sea, A Biographical Study of the R.M.S. Queen Mary." Dated May 27th, 1936," 9" x 11.25." Soft wraps, both in fine condition.

 

A fantastic profusely illustrated booklet, which includes the History of The Ship, the ships highlights and features, a description of the propelling machinery, and portrait images of the various people involved in the entire development of the ship. The unique piece from the anchor would make an excellent display and conversational piece.
