Book Signed "For Kjeld Helweg-Larsen / with sincere good wishes / Ernest Hemingway " on the dedication page following the title page. "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1957). Bound in London. 343p, 5.5" x 8.5". "Copyright 1929 by Charles Scribner's Sons / Renewal Copyright © 1957 by Ernest Hemingway." Gilt top edge of pages, leather over green cloth boards, spine in compartments with five raised bands and tooled in gilt, turkish marbled endpapers. Covers and spine slightly sunned. Else, in fine condition.

Kjeld Helweg-Larsen is the author of books about the Caribbean and the West Indies such as "Rogues and Raiders of the Caribbean and the South Sea," "Pieces Of Paradise: A Travel Book About The West Indies," and "Columbus Never Came."

Penned on the lower edge of the inscription page, probably by Helweg-Larsen: "La Floridita. Habana 2-4-60." La Floridita was Hemingway's favorite bar in Havana.
