Manuscript Document Signed, "Benjamin Woodsman," and "Rachel Woodsman," with thirteen witnesses, one page, 11.5"x 12.5", New Hampshire, September 24, 1805. In part as written without spelling corrections,

"Benjamin E. Woodman...son of Moses Woodman...and Hannah his Wife and Rachel Eaton Daughter of Timothy Eaton Deceased and Abigail his Wife ...having Declared their intention of taking each other in marriage before Several monthly meetings of the people Called Quakers according to good Order Used among them ...they appearing clear of all others and having consent of parants...Now these are to certify all whom it may consern that ...Sd (said) Benjamin E Woodman & Sd Rachel Eaton appeared at a publick assembly of the afforsaid people & others in their meetg-House in Seabrook and he the Sd Benjamin E. Woodman taking the Sd. Rachel Eaton by the Hand did openly declare as follows-------Friends I take this my friend Rachel Eaton to be my wife promising through divine assistance to be unto her a Loving and faithfull Husband to Her untill it Shall please the Lord by Death to Seperate us - and the Sd Rachel Eaton did then and their in the like manner Decleare as follows-----...and they Said B E Woodman and Rachel Eaton as a further confirmation thereof have hereunto Set their hands She after the Custum of marriage assuming the Name of her Husband.."

Wonderful Quaker wedding declaration with the traditional inclusions - declaration of intent to marry before several Quaker meetings, clearing by a committee of Quakers, consent of parents, and a ceremony completed with witnesses and without a church official.
