Pupin Michael

American physicist and inventor, Michael Pupin, pens and signs a letter as, "M. I. Pupin", dated Feb. 5, 1903 on stationary with Columbia University, New York heading at top, crossed off and handwritten with, "The Dakota". Measures 5" x 6", fine condition. Ink is very bold as well as the signature.

A long letter of apology for not responding to a phone call to Mrs. Lewis:

"Will you forgive me this time? and I will promise to do penance and go any errand, exploit, expedition or deed or daring to gain your good will and favor which ... I hold in very high esteem ... "

Michael Pupin was an American physicist and inventor associated with Columbia University during the years 1889 through 1931. He was noted for his researches in x-rays and for inventions in a number of devices using telegraphy and telephony.
