The Franklin Library Signed Limited First Edition of Philip Roth, "The Human Stain" (Franklin Center, Pennsylvania: The Franklin Library, 2000), 361pp. Signed by Philip Roth in black pen on one of the front endpapers as "Philip Roth." The collector's edition is bound in dark blue genuine leather, with fancy gilt embossed covers, gilt text block, and decorative endpapers. Comes with an insert introducing Philip Roth, "this month's Signed First Edition Society author…" as well as a "New York Times" book review article evaluating "The Human Stain" from May 2000. Biblio.com lists Roth signed editions like this for between $150-200.

2. Philip Roth, "Philip Roth Novels 1967-1972: When She Was Good, Portnoy's Complaint, Our Gang, The Breast" (New York: The Library of America Edition, 2005), first printing, 671pp. Signed by Philip Roth on the full title page as "Philip Roth." With the original dust jacket. Clean and crisp. 5.25" x 8.125" x 1.25." Estimates on AbeBooks.com for a signed edition like this are in the $300 range.

3. Philip Roth, Limited Edition "Portnoy's Complaint" (New York: Random House, 1969), 274pp. Signed by Philip Roth in black felt tip pen on the limited edition page as "Philip Roth." 148/600. With textured oatmeal cloth boards, gilt embossed front cover and spine, and stored in a slip-on case. The case shows expected wear including isolated discoloration and paper loss to the corners, else very good. Abebooks.com lists signed editions like this as selling for between $300-600.

All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.
