Russian Cosmonauts - From Moonwalker Gene Cernan's personal collection: Signed Photograph of the Soviet Soyuz 16 crew NASA Photograph Signed "Rukavishnikov" (top) and "A. Filipchenko" in Russian. Color, 7" x 7" image, overall 10" x 8". "NASA / S-75-22871" imprinted in red in upper left blank margin. Light yellowing in margin. Fine condition.

Accompanied by a Novaspace Galleries "Gene Cernan Garage Sale / Certificate of Authenticity / NASA glossy signed by Rukavishnikov and Filipcgenko," 4.5" x 4.25", signed in facsimile by Cernan: "This item is from my personal collection of memorabilia from my career as a NASA astronaut. This item has been stored at my residence in Houston, and recently gathered and presented to Novaspace Galleries for dispersal to collectors of artifacts from the great - space race' and the golden era of space exploration."

Anatoliy Filipchenko (born 1928) was the Commander of Soyuz 16 and Nikolay Rukavishnikov (1932-2002) was the Flight Engineer. The December 2-8, 1974, Soyuz 16 flight was a final dress rehearsal of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, the first international partnership in space. The Soyuz 16 crew tested the androgynous docking system as well as modified environmental systems, new solar panels, improved control systems and a new radar docking system. On July 15, 1975, an Apollo spacecraft launched carrying a crew of three and docked two days later on July 17th, with a Soyuz spacecraft and its crew of two.

We currently ship via FedEx but if your purchase is shipping to a P.O. Box, we ship via USPS. All items are insured. We ship from our offices in Westport, CT. We may opt to use a third party shipper for very fragile, bulky or oversized items. Items requiring third party shipping will be denoted in the item description. Packages shipped internationally will have full value declared on shipping form. International buyers will be responsible for any customs fees incurred.
