Group of 19 Attractive Printed Materials, Most 20th Century Political

A group of nineteen printed materials, varying from event programs to holiday cards. The majority date from the 20th century and are from New York, although a handful originates from Washington, D.C., Delaware, or the United Kingdom. Many of the items are luncheon or dinner programs held in New York to honor various political figures or businessmen. A sample of the included materials can be seen below:

1. Menu and Program. New York; dated May 26, 1947. Dinner held in honor of New York Mayor William O'Dwyer. Held at the Hotel Commodore by the Democratic National Committee of New York. Signed by a number of guests, including William Averell Harriman and James Forrestal.
2. Holiday Card. Dublin, Ireland; dated December 1929. Christmas and New Year Wishes from the President of the Executive Council Irish Free State, Liam T. MacCosgair.
3. Luncheon Program. New York; dated December 2, 1949. Held in honor of the Vice President, Alden Barkley, as well as the President's Cabinet and the Governors of states.
4. Program. Washington, D.C.; dated January 20, 1945. The One Thousand Club of the United States honoring the President and Vice President. Held at the Statler Hotel.
5. Dinner Program. Brooklyn, New York; May 19, 1955. Kings County Democratic Victory Dinner honoring Averell Harriman, George B. DeLuca, and Arthur Levitt.
6. Luncheon Seating Program. New York, dated June 1, 1954. Luncheon honoring His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia.
7. Printed Booklet. Albany, New York; dated December 18, 1920. "A History of the Reconstruction Commission Appointed January 20, 1919, by Governor Alfred E. Smith".
8. Breakfast Program. New York, dated December 21, 1918. Victory Breakfast given by The Woman's Democratic League of the State of New York, honoring Mrs. Alfred E. Smith.
9. Hotel Souvenir. London, England; dated 1893. Souvenir of Savoy Hotel, Victoria Embankment.
10. Program and Souvenir. New York; dated September 29 & 30, 1899. Official Programme and Souvenir, Reception of Admiral Dewey by the City of New York.

The group has varying degrees of toning, foxing, and soiling. Light wear to the edges and some bumping and chipping to a few of the program corners. Bold signatures. Overall very good.

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice, unless you inform us otherwise, immediately upon your receipt of invoice***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
