Sir Arthur Kaye, 3rd Baronet (c. 1670–1726), of Woodsome Hall, near Huddersfield, Yorkshire, was an English Tory politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1710 to 1726.

Henry Delord (1764 – 1825) was born to a middle to upper class family in southern France. At the age of 20 he emigrated to the island of Martinique in the French West Indies and worked on his uncle's sugar plantation, later moving to the island of St. Lucia. When the turmoil from the French Revolution caused an uprising among the slave population, Henry fled to the United States. Henry settled in the Quaker establishment in the town of Peru, NY and in 1810, he bought a cottage and three acres of land in Plattsburgh owned by Elizabeth and Judge James Kent. He became a gentleman farmer and established a store on his property, selling everything from lumber to liquor to lace.

Captain Ralph Farr Winter was appointed as Provincial Grand Master of India and placed in charge of one of the trading vessels of the East India Company. In 1729, he was entrusted with opening the first Freemason lodge in Fort William, Calcutta.
