An archive of ten letters and signed items from notable writers and editors, dating from 1869 to 1981. This collection includes various correspondence, signed notes, and photographs, as described below:

1. Typed Letter Signed "Henry R. Luce". New York, dated December 29, 1930. Addressed to J.J. Lipsey, thanking him for his kind note. Accompanied by a photograph of Luce.
2. Signed Card "Carl Sandburg". No place, undated. Matted with a photograph of Sandburg.
3. Clipped Signature "William Cullen Bryant/February 27th 1869". Accompanied by a lithograph of Bryant.
4. Typed Letter Signed "Dewitt Wallace". Pleasantville, New York, dated April 20, 1942. To Herbert R. Mayes Esq., making plans for a cocktail party. Accompanied by an image of Wallace.
5. Signed Page "To Robert Walter Sincerely Dorothy Parker". Pipersville, PA, undated. Together with a small photograph of Parker.
6. Typed Letter Signed "Dorothy Parker". New York, dated February 16, 1948. A letter from the Spanish Refugee Appeal of the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee.
7. Signed Photograph "Adolph S Ochs". No place, undated. Signed and inscribed on the mat below the photo, 'For my friend - Edwin L. James - with returns and affectionate regards."
8. Signed Page with Photograph "Will Durant". No place, dated August 25, 1981. Inscribed "Dear Michael Hicht: I am told that the above is a photo of me. I can't believe it. I was never so handsome. Anyway, I am delighted to imagine it to be me, & to inscribe it here to you as part of the game. Blessings on you."
9. First Day Cover Signed "WH Arnold". Washington, D.C., dated October 8, 1946. Addressed to Miss Dorothy Smith and matted with a photograph and a blue embroidered badge.
10. Signed Card "John G. Whittier".

Expected mail folds to the letters, with varying degrees of toning, soiling, foxing, etc. Silvering to the edges of Adolph Ochs photograph. Boldly signed by all. Please refer to the photographs for further condition.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.

We do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice, unless you inform us otherwise, immediately upon your receipt of invoice***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. After payment has been made in full, University Archives will ship your purchase within 10 business days following receipt of full payment for item.
