Charles and Anne Lindbergh spent the winter of 1929-30 in California where he could work with Lockheed on the construction of a new low wing monoplane, the Lockheed Sirius. On Easter Sunday they flew it from Glendale to New York in the record time of 14 hours, 45 minutes, 32 seconds. The next day at the Pan Am building, since air mail would not be fast enough to thank those who had worked with them to make the flight a success, Lindbergh wrote these night letters and had them sent by wire. One such example is shown below and is the specific telegram which is additionally accompanied by the typed Telegram Confirmation:

"Mr. Carl Squire

Lockheed Aircraft Corp.

Burbank, California

Plane and motor functioned perfectly during entire flight period certainly appreciate the cooperation of Lockheed Personnell[sic both during construction of ship and preparation of flight.

Charles A. Lindbergh"

A unique set of 7 individual dated, hand written and signed letters as telegrams by Charles Lindbergh which could easily be broken up into 7 individual pieces.
