The Armstrong autograph comes with its original auction description and invoice from Halls Holdings, Ltd. The original auction description provides provenance for the Armstrong autograph as: Lot 1003, "…Obtained by the vendor [Sergeant Kenneth Bustard] in July 1976 when he was catering manager on the Expedicion Los Tayos to explore caves in Ecuador. Neil Armstrong joined the expedition for a day and night as its honorary president." A printout of an original July 1976 "Wetherby News" newspaper article, "Clifford Soldier on Jungle Expedition," provides more provenance information.

Ca. January 14, 1997. N.p. The ballot page has been twice signed by Buzz Aldrin (born 1930): the first time in print lettering as "Buzz Aldrin" at center; and the second time in cursive below his ballot choices as "Buzz Aldrin." A few edge wrinkles, else near fine. 8.5" x 11."

The Aldrin autographed page comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Millennium Traders, Autographs & Collectibles, registration number 24001263.

The Discover Magazine Awards for Technological Innovation was a competition established in 1989. In 1997, the year Aldrin voted as a judge, there were 33 finalists selected from over 4,000 nominated applicants in seven categories. Aldrin's first choice in the Aviation & Aerospace Category was for the entry called "Space Telescope Imaging Spectograph - NASA Goddard Space Flight Center," technology which was later incorporated into the Hubble Space Telescope.

NASA's Apollo XI mission consisted of Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. Armstrong and Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon on July 20, 1969.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
