Apollo 11 Ticket For NASA Mission to the Moon PSA 7
Ticket/Invitation
NASA Apollo 11 launch pass, dated July 16, 1969, from the iconic mission that first landed humans on the Moon. The ticket, #48, features the NASA "Apollo 11" insignia with a stunning design of an eagle landing on the Moon with Earth in the background. The reverse side includes a message from Kurt H. Debus, Director of the Kennedy Space Center, stating the credential's purpose and its retention as a souvenir after the launch. Authenticated and graded PSA NM 7 (Near Mint), this ticket is one of only 14 tickets known to exist at this grade. Even more remarkable, there are only 7 tickets graded higher, and those are just one grade above (PSA NM-MT 8). In fine condition with some toning. The ticket measures 5" x 3" and is encapsulated to a size of 4.25" x 7.25."

A PSA 8 Apollo 11 ticket sold for $5,280 at Goldin Auctions in March 2022.

The Apollo 11 mission marked humanity's first manned Moon landing, fulfilling President John F. Kennedy's 1961 challenge to land a man on the Moon and return him safely to Earth before the decade's end. Launched on July 16, 1969, aboard the powerful Saturn V rocket, the mission carried Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. On July 20, 1969, the lunar module "Eagle" landed in the Sea of Tranquility, where Armstrong became the first human to walk on the Moon, declaring, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Aldrin soon followed, and together they conducted experiments, collected samples, and documented their journey, while Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard the command module "Columbia". The mission successfully concluded with their Pacific Ocean splashdown on July 24, 1969, securing Apollo 11's place as a defining moment in space exploration and human history.
