William McKinley Archive Including Rare Funeral Ticket

Archive of four pieces relating to 25th U.S. President William McKinley (1843-1901). Mounting residue at verso of funeral ticket. Light wear may include scattered foxing and soiling, else the pieces are in fine condition.

The archive includes:

1) A 4.25" x 6.5" cabinet card photograph with images of William McKinley, his wife Ida McKinley, and their home in Canton, Ohio, circa 1896 during McKinley's front porch presidential campaign. Titled below the black and white images: "McKinley Souvenir". 4.25" x 6.5". With D. A. Hagens & Co. imprint at bottom left.

2) A cabinet card photograph, 4.25" x 6.5", showing William McKinley in left profile, titled "Hon. Wm. McKinley." With Launey, New York imprint at bottom blank margin.

3) A 6.5" x 4.25" cabinet card photograph with images of the President and First Lady presented side by side, circa March 1901 during their tour of the nation following McKinley's second inauguration. Printed in red ink running vertically along right margin: "President and Mrs. McKinley / Souvenir of Visit 1901". 

4) A rare funeral ticket, 4.75" x 3", cream with black text in a thick black border. Reads in full: "Admit Bearer to Stage at Hazard's Pavilion, Thursday afternoon, September 19, 1901, at 2 p.m., to the Exercises in memory of our beloved and lamented / William McKinley / President of the United States".

William McKinley was in office from March 4, 1897 to September 14, 1901. He was shot on September 6, 1901 at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York, and died eight days later, making McKinley the third U.S. President to be assassinated.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.
