My dear Maurice Egan:

I have your of December 8th, and thank you very much for sending me the "Life of Cardinal Gibbons", which I hope to be able to read with pleasure. I can not, however, agree to write a review of it, for the reason that my time is so taken up with my judicial duties that I can not do work of this kind.
