William Gladstone Handwritten Postcard PSA Gem Mint 10!
Signature

Signed postcard handwritten and signed by William Ewart Gladstone (1809–1898), the famed four-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The postcard, postmarked April 14, 1879, is addressed to "Mr. Dean," a recipient in Bristol and bears a one-penny red stamp featuring Queen Victoria, printed with the royal arms and postal markings of the era. On the reverse, Gladstone has penned a neatly written message, closing with his full signature, "W.E. Gladstone." The card has been encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA, receiving a prestigious GEM MINT 10 Autograph Grade for the clarity and quality of the signature. Expected light toning and wear consistent with its age, yet remains highly legible and visually striking. Encapsulated to an overall size of 4.25" x 7.25".

William Ewart Gladstone was one of the dominant political figures of the Victorian era, serving four terms as Prime Minister between 1868 and 1894. Known as "The Grand Old Man," Gladstone was a reformer whose policies reshaped Britain's political and social landscape, including efforts toward Irish Home Rule, modernization of the economy, and expansion of education. His rivalry with Benjamin Disraeli defined 19th-century British politics, while his oratory and writings made him one of the most respected statesmen in Europe. Authentic handwritten correspondence from Gladstone provides collectors with a tangible connection to the career of a leader whose influence extended far beyond the borders of Britain.
