Photographic portraits of the nine Supreme Court justices of the Warren Court encircle a photograph of the U.S. Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C. From top clockwise, beginning with Earl Warren, these justices include:

- Earl Warren (1891-1974), signed as "Earl Warren" in blue ink at top center. Served as Chief Justice between 1953-1969.

- William O. Douglas (1898-1980), signed as "Wm O Douglas" in black ink at upper right. Served as Associate Justice between 1939-1975.

- John M. Harlan II (1899-1971), signed as "John M Harlan" in black ink at right. Served as Associate Justice between 1955-1971.

- Potter Stewart (1915-1985), signed as "Potter Stewart" in blue ink at lower right. Served as Associate Justice between 1958-1981.

- Abe Fortas (1910-1982), signed as "Abe Fortas" in blue ink at lower right. Fortas was forced to resign after he accepted a large financial gift from a money manager being investigated for insider trading.

- Byron R. White (1917-2002), signed as "Byron R White" in blue ink at lower left. Served as Associate Justice between 1962-1993.

- William J. Brennan, Jr. (1906-1997), signed as "Wm J Brennan Jr" in black ink at lower left. Served as Associate Justice between 1956-1990.

- Tom C. Clark (1899-1977), signed as "Tom C. Clark" in black ink at left. Served as Associate Justice between 1949-1967.

- Hugo L. Black (1886-1971), signed as "Hugo L Black" in blue ink at upper left. Served as Associate Justice between 1937-1971.
