1. "The First Prayed in Congress." Measuring 29.5" x 24". Boston: L.A. Elliot & Co., 1848. From the original painting by T. H. Matteson, painted expressly for the engraving done on steel by H. S. Sadd. The print shows members of the First Continental Congress with heads bowed, some kneeling on the floor, in prayer during the session at Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia, in September 1774.

2. Centennial Declaration of Independence. Measuring 33" x 26.25". Philadelphia: The Centennial Offering Co., 1876. Entered into Congress by Schaefer, Waeschle and Kohner, 1876. The Declaration of Independence text and facsimile signatures are surrounded by key moments from the Revolutionary War, including the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, the battles of Lexington, Bunker Hill, Princeton, and the Cowpens, and the Surrender of Lord Cornwallis. At the top of the print are portraits of Thomas Jefferson and John Hancock, as well as images of Carpenters Hall and Independence Hall.
