Truman." In fine condition, with expected folds. Accompanied by original mailing envelope. The TLS measures 7.25" x 10.5."

In full:

"Dear Mr. Thomas:

Thank you for your letter of the 9th. I want to say to you that unless some coordinating organization can keep things together we never would have a political platform nor would we keep the political party together if every one voted a split ticket. Most people on the outside don't understand that.

Of course, you have a perfect right to vote the way you want to when you get into the voting booth. But, you want to remember that in the long run the welfare of the country has been due to the fact that we have two political parties and if you can't support one or the other, then we are in the same fix that other countries have been, including France, which have multiple parties.

I think two strong political parties have been built up for the welfare of the country.

Sincerely yours,

Harry S. Truman"
