Frost, cousin of poet Robert Frost, in which the former president agrees to sign the document in question. Dated December 10, 1963, Independence, Missouri. Excerpts include:

Truman- "The action of the United Nations in Korea has proved that the principles of world peace set forth in the United Nations Charter are not just a scrap of paper… With power-hungry aggressors threatening to rip up the fabric of world peace, we must redouble our efforts to strengthen the United Nations.

"If the Soviet Union will enter into a system of continuing and foolproof inspection, the work of disarmament can go forward. The nations will then be able to look beyond the present necessity of building up defenses to a period of real peace and prosperity… The theme of your Conference, 'Our Faith in the United Nations', states a fact and not a hope. Faith in the United Nations must continue to grow, in every country in the world-- even among the oppressed people behind the Iron Curtain…".

Eisenhower- "Another war would be an unthinkable calamity; the loss of liberty would be a greater one. Under the mantle of world leadership, the American people are taking positive action against both dangers. Part of that action is channeled through the United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization…".

Ridgway- "Nowhere has the challenge of world leadership been accepted more promptly and positively by our countrymen than in Korea. Events of the past year and a half have given tangible proof to the entire world that we are firm in our purpose… to oppose tyranny… Indeed the continued survival of the Republic of Korea as an independent state is due to this common effort…."
