A substantial collection of White House holiday memorabilia presented to and collected by Samuel Sutton, the career U.S. Navy officer who served as personal valet to three U.S. Presidents (Clinton, Bush II, and Obama.) The Christmas and Easter collectibles, approximately 84 pieces, date from the Bush II and Obama administrations, ca. 2001-2010. The highlight of the collection is the 2001 White House ornament signed by 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush (born 1946) and First Lady Laura Bush (born 1946). Included are 7 other White House Christmas ornaments in their original boxes, the majority limited edition and accompanied by COAs. Easter collectibles include Easter eggs destined for the roll down the South Lawn of the White House; Easter covered boxes; and Easter clothing. Please refer to catalog photos for additional information related to condition, which is overall very good to near fine. Stored in a box measuring 12" x 26" x 16."

Christmas (8 pieces)

A group of White House Christmas ornaments from 2001-2008, enclosed in their original boxes bedecked with ribbons, and most accompanied by cards, some hand-inscribed to "Sam."

- White House 2001 ornament signed by President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush on the underside of the base. The hand-blown, hand-painted glass figural ornament depicting the White House is limited edition #11/575, Jennifer Ellsworth Landmarks, designer Jorge Rojas. COA included. (1 piece)

- White House 2002 ornament, a hand-blown and hand-engraved frosted crystal glass globe, limited edition #132/625, designed by Jim Maxwell. The artist's descriptive card is included. (1 piece)

- White House 2003 ornament, a hand-blown and hand-painted glass figural ornament depicting a gingerbread White House, limited edition #762/925, Jennifer Ellsworth Landmarks, designer Jorge Rojas. COA included. (1 piece)

- White House 2004 ornament, a hand-painted glass "heirloom" globe, limited edition #75/925, designed by Seton McGlennon. COA included. (1 piece)

- White House 2005 ornament, a hand-painted ruby red glass globe with gilt accents, signed "D. Welsch" verso. (1 piece)

- White House 2006 ornament, a hand-painted glass "heirloom" globe, limited edition #388/1000, designed by Seton McGlennon. COA included. (1 piece)

- White House 2007 ornament, a hand-painted green glass "heirloom" globe celebrating the "Holiday in the National Parks" theme, limited edition #356/1000, designed by Michael Glenn Monroe. COA included. (1 piece)

- White House 2008 ornament, a hand-painted sapphire blue glass "heirloom" globe, limited edition #102/1000, designed by Barbara Franzreb. COA included. (1 piece)

Easter (approximately 76 pieces total)

- An assortment of loose Easter eggs, wood painted orange, green, teal, purple, magenta, yellow, pink, gray, mint, and pistachio, from the years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010. Each year's egg has a different character theme recto, and features facsimile presidential signatures verso. The breakdown by year is as follows: 2002: 18 eggs; 2003: 12 eggs; 2004: 3 eggs; 2006: 1 egg; 2007: 1 egg; 2009: 17 eggs; 2010: 1 egg. The 2006 egg was used and still has some traces of dirt. Each egg measures roughly 2.5" h. (53 pieces)

- 3 white baseball caps, each embroidered "White House / Easter Egg Roll / 2004" on the front panel, one size fits all, with adjustable closures. (3 pieces)

- 3 white aprons, each emblazoned "White House / Easter Egg Roll / 2004" on the bib, each with double pockets in the front, one size fits all, with adjustable neck straps. Each measures approximately 33.25" long from the neckline to hem. Unused and still neatly folded in beribboned bundles. (3 pieces)

- 2 unopened Easter round covered boxes from 2004 wrapped in the original cellophane tied with colorful ribbons, each presumably containing the appropriate Easter eggs from that year. One with a tag presented to "Sam." Each measures 3.5" h., 6" dia. (2 pieces not counting eggs inside)

- 3 colorful Easter round and oval covered boxes from 2006, 2007, and 2008, each containing four White House Easter Egg Roll eggs from their respective years. Average size is 3.75" x 7.375" x 5." (15 pieces counting eggs)

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
