The collection includes:

"Orleans Cadets Quick Step," composed by E.O. Eaton, known for his patriotic works such as The March of the Minute Men and Pelican Waltz, was published by A.E. Blackmar & Bro. of New Orleans. Featuring a lithographic cover depicting three Confederate soldiers with rifles, the piece celebrates the Orleans Cadets militia. Measures 10.5" x 14."

"General Burnside's Grand Triumphal March," published by Henry Tolman & Co. of Boston with additional print locations in Chicago, New York, and Albany, is dedicated to Brigadier General A.E. Burnside, commander of the 3rd Naval & Military Expedition to the South. Featuring a dramatic lithographic cover depicting Burnside and his staff on horseback overlooking a naval fleet. Measures 10.25" x 13.75."

"14th Regiment Centennial Jubilee," composed by Wm. E. Tompkins and featuring lyrics by Capt. John A. Egolf, was created in 1876 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of American independence and honor the valor of the 14th Regiment. With a vividly colored lithographic cover depicting American flags, George Washington, and soldiers from both the Revolutionary and Civil War eras shaking hands, the piece reflects themes of unity and patriotism while remaining visually striking. Measures 10.5" x 14."

"We Never Can Forget, or the Memories of Andersonville Prison Pens," composed by Henry Tucker, memorializes the harrowing experiences of Union prisoners of war at the infamous Confederate Andersonville Prison. Featuring intricate black-and-white illustrations with ornate borders and symbolic imagery of suffering, the piece remains vivid and legible, detached from cover. Measures 9" x 11.5."

"War Song, Written and Dedicated to the Massachusetts Regiments," composed by Mathias Keller with lyrics by W.W. Story, was published in 1861 to honor the bravery of Massachusetts soldiers during the Civil War. Featuring a bold lithographic cover with two crossed American flags in vibrant red and blue, this quickstep-style composition is adaptable for quartet, duet, or solo performances accompanied by drums, reflecting the patriotic spirit of the Union. Fully detached from cover, fraying. Measures 10.75" x 14."

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
