A fantastic group of six newspaper issues from throughout the Civil War, covering the battles at Chancellorsville and Petersburg, the 1864 elections, movements by Grant and Sheridan, and much more. All 8pp (uncut), measuring approximately 15.5" x 21.5", New York. All are issues of "The New York Times", dating from May 5, 1863, to April 7, 1865. The group has varying degrees of creasing, toning, soiling, and foxing. Some rough edges and small edge tears. Overall very good. Please refer to the photographs for further condition information.

We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.
