Ronald Reagan's Personally Owned Bel Air Huge Designer 6 Seat Hall Bench, a Vast 10 feet, Accompanied by Matching Mirror and Satin Pillows

This lot, comprised of 6 extraordinary pieces, was owned by Ronald and Nancy Reagan and was original to the Reagan's post-Presidential Bel Air home at 668 St. Cloud, Bel Air, California. The lot was acquired directly from the Reagan estate at auction and will be accompanied by Christie's provenance stating such. The group of 6 pieces includes an enormous hall bench, with the accompanying matching mirror and 4 satin pillows.

Hall Bench: An absolutely majestic, grand oversized hall bench and mirror which were owned and used by Ronald and Nancy Reagan in their Bel Air, California home. The bench is a vast 119.75" long (10 feet), and comfortably sits 6 people! The stunning bench is circa 1960, which was later fully reupholstered by Ted Graber, Inc. circa 1988. The wood was sponge painted in a terra cotta toned paint accented with deeper tones of brown for texturing. The bench seat is embellished with a single cushion, upholstered in light tones of cream, ivory and beige with a rich deep nap, which sits atop the wood seat. Each arm of the bench boasts a width of a full 8" across.

Grand Mirror: The grand massive mirror pairs perfectly with the bench and is 94 inches wide (7.8 feet), and 71 inches high (about 6 feet). The mirror was designed to mount on the wall behind the bench, with the wood frame painted to match.

As massive as this set is, the wonderfully simplistic and elegant style is timeless and would fit most any décor. The sheer vastness of the two pieces take full command of a room without being heavy in appearance. Simply architecturally elegant! Beautifully embellished with four satin pillows in green and pale yellow. Each pillow measures 20" x 20". An incredible combination of majestic beauty steeped in important history, with impeccable provenance!

Condition report: The bench and mirror are in excellent condition with the upholstery looking clean, bright and fresh. The wood on both the bench and mirror is in excellent condition, with a slight repair to a few missing veneer chips along the frame edge of the mirror.
