Ron Perranoski's 1965 LA Dodgers World Series Championship Ring
Jewelry

Original 14K gold ring awarded to Dodgers pitcher Ron Perranoski following their seven-game triumph over Minnesota. Features an authentic diamond (Diamond has been tested and confirmed authentic) at center, inlaid within a blue stone and framed by the words "Los Angeles World Champions". One shank reads "1965" above the Dodgers logo while the other shows a pair of bats behind a baseball engraved with Perranoski's signature at middle. The band's interior is stamped "Balfour 14k". Ring size 9.5 (US), weighing approximately 1.2 ounces. Expected surface scratching present from evident use, with areas of light patina. Housed within a presentation jewelry box, measuring 7" x 5" x 3" overall.

Provenance note: Our consignor, the longtime girlfriend of Ron Perranoski, was later named Attorney-in-Fact within his Last Will and Testament signed September 2, 2011. It was over the course of their relationship that she was gifted this iconic piece of baseball memorabilia, which has been retained in her personal collection before bringing it to auction.

The 1965 Dodgers championship stands among the most celebrated pitching triumphs in baseball history, defined by the dominance of Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale. That same year, Perranoski delivered one of the finest campaigns of his career, making him an essential component to the Dodgers' legendary starting rotation. Indeed, the team's late-season surge, winning all but one of their final games to secure the pennant, owed much to the reliability of their bullpen, with Perranoski at its center. Comparable rings from the 1965 Dodgers have demonstrated strong and consistent demand at auction, with values closely tied to the prominence of the recipient. As a key contributor and bullpen anchor, Perranoski's ring represents an excellent balance of historical importance and relative value within the category.
