Description:

Nixon Richard 1913 - 1994 Spectacular Richard Nixon signed and inscribed book, "No More Vietnams"
"No More Vietnams', First Printing, Arbor House Publishing Company, 1985. Near fine book and jacket. Blue paper boards with blue quarter cloth. The book has a tight and square binding, no edge wear, and slightly pushed corners. The internal pages and end papers are clean, bright and flat, with the book appearing as unread. Near fine jacket with soft crease to front. With a scarce, bold, lengthy inscription by Richard Nixon "To General James Doolittle / With Appreciation for his year of dedicated service to the nation - far beyond the call of duty. From Richard Nixon 4-16-85"

James Harold "Jimmy" Doolittle (December 14, 1896 – September 27, 1993) was an American aviation pioneer. A Reserve Officer in the United States Army Air Corps, Doolittle was recalled to active duty during World War II and awarded the Medal of Honor for his valor and leadership as commander of the Doolittle Raid, a bold long-range retaliatory air raid on the Japanese main islands weeks after the Attack on Pearl Harbor. He was eventually promoted to lieutenant general and commanded the Twelfth Air Force over North Africa, the Fifteenth Air Force over the Mediterranean, and the Eighth Air Force over Europe.

A spectacular example with an unusually lengthy important inscription by President Nixon, signed in the year of publication.
