Description:

Bush George H. W. 1924 - 0 Remarkable President Bush twice signed Dallas Cowboys Football Jersey, presented by the Team for their 25th Anniversary! It was presented by Tom Landry and Roger Staubach directly to Bush Sr.

From the spectacular, unprecedented collection of Ronald Ellis Wade, offered here is a stunning six piece set. Includes:

1. A Russell Athletic Dallas Cowboy Football jersey with the name "BUSH" and number "44"on the back. Signed twice flanking both sides of the "BUSH" name on the back of the Jersey with the signature of President George H.W. Bush to the left and President George W. Bush on the right, as "G. Bush / 1-16-98", and "G W Bush" respectively. Measures 36" long by 26" across shoulder to shoulder. Emblazoned with the Dallas star with the number 25 to the front designating the team's 25th Anniversary.

2. A near fine hardcover book by Ronald Ellis Wade, in which he discusses his presidential collection of memorabilia. The book discusses some of the provenance for his pieces, one of which includes a lengthy detailed chronological provenance for how this particular Dallas Jersey evolved from the original gifting by the Dallas Team to President Reagan and Vice President Bush in 1984, to how Wade ultimately acquired it from George Bush Jr., to the then later signing of the Jersey on separate occasions by both Bushes.

3. A glossy Kodak print of the original Presentation event in 1984 by Dallas Cowboy's Coach Tom Landry; Quarterback Roger Staubach to President Reagan and Vice President Bush, on 22 Aug 1984. 10.75" x 8.5" overall size which includes the white border. Near fine with the white border lightly toned.

4. A glossy signed and inscribed photo of the presentation event with both Reagan and Bush holding up their Dallas Jersey's. Boldly signed and inscribed in black felt tip by President George Bush to Ron Wade "To Ron Wade, my friend, Good Luck, G. Bush". Near fine.

5. A glossy signed and inscribed photo of President Bush signing and gifting the Jersey to Ron Wade at Bush's Houston office. Boldly signed in black felt tip, "To Ron Wade - Good Luck - G. Bush"

6. A mat black and white postcard of 3 generations of the Bush family starting with Senator Prescott Bush posed and sitting in the middle surrounded by his children, wife and the grandchildren. Unknown date, but verso of the postcard goes out to his election to the Senate in 1952

An amazing highly unique piece, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Dallas Cowboys, with substantial signed and inscribed documentation of two Presidents! Of noted interest, the "other" Jersey, the one gifted to President Reagan in 1984, went on display at the "Newseum" in Washington D.C. with other Presidential memorabilia.

Below is an interesting interview from TheHill.com, about Ron Wade and his collection of Presidential memorabilia:

Step into Ronald Wade's office and it's easy to see why he's listed in "Guinness World Records 2015" for the largest collection of U.S. presidential memorabilia - it's really a replica of the Oval Office.

"Actually, they quit counting," Wade says of his immense collection of White House and presidential campaign items, "because I probably have closer to 20,000 or 30,000 items, if not closer to 100,000, that's with duplication." The official count from the folks behind the famed book puts Wade's collection in chief at 6,960 pieces as of last year.

The lifelong Republican has been racking up "practically anything that has to do with American politics" since he was 10 years old.

"My first memory in life is wearing an 'I Like Ike' button, and I was probably 4 years old. So I've always been interested in politics," Wade, 64, tells ITK.

The retired Texas Department of Human Services supervisor says he counts former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush as friends. His most prized item in the collection is from the 41st commander in chief's failed 1964 Senate bid.

"He had a group of young ladies that campaigned for him, the Bush Belles," Wade says in his heavy Lone Star State twang, "So I have the only known Bush Belles outfit that's around. Even the Bush Library doesn't have one."

"George W. has been to my house, and seen my collection, and was quite impressed," boasts Wade, who has also donated several pieces from his massive memorabilia stockpile to the George W. Bush Presidential Library outside Dallas.

The collector extraordinaire says he "pays for his habit" by selling extra collectibles he's acquired over the years, but he never hawks anything that he "loves."

While much of the public might be disillusioned with warring politicians, Wade, who once served as a White House page for then-President Nixon, says talk of partisan bickering in Washington is overblown: "The friction between parties has been here as long as America has been here."
