JOHN F. KENNEDY (1917-1963) Rare Autograph Letter Signed "J.K." in pencil as U.S. Senator, 1 page, 5.25" x 8". On stationery headed "United States Senate / Memorandum." To John [McMorrow]. Corners worn. [Washington, D.C., January 1958]. Fine condition.

Reproduced in actual size on page 47 of "The Robot That Helped to Make a President" by Charles Hamilton (New York: Cooper Forms, 1965), identified as having been written in January 1958.

In full, "John: Would you care to have lunch on Wednesday - Senate restaurant 115 - J.K."

Fellow Harvard graduate John P. McMorrow (1926-2008) was Chairman of Boston's School Committee when he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Boston in 1960. His father had served in the Massachusetts State Legislature from 1939-1946.

Accompanied by an unsigned informal black and white photograph, 10" x 8", of JFK and McMorrow and the Memorial Card, 3.54" x 4.75", given to mourners attending President Kennedy's funeral at St. Matthew's Cathedral on November 25, 1963.
