JOHN F. KENNEDY (1917-1963) Admission Ticket Signed "John F. Kennedy" as President on verso, 4" x 7.75". Complete admission ticket picturing President Kennedy, with stub attached. Fine condition.

Blue ticket lettered in gold above and below a 2" x 2" black and white photograph of President Kennedy: "The Democratic Party of Wisconsin / 1962 / Jefferson-Jackson Kennedy Dinner / Milwaukee Arena / Saturday, May 12 / Six Thirty O'Clock." Lettered in blue on the white stub: "Admit One / 1962 Jefferson-Jackson Kennedy Dinner / Ticket No. 545."

In a story datelined Milwaukee, Wis., May 12, the UPI reported, in part, "President Kennedy said Saturday night there is no 'soft and easy' existence in sight for America in a time of burdensome international peril but he is confident of the nations' ability to stand the tests of the 1960s. The President took a political time out from the mounting problems of the Southeast Asia crisis besetting him in Washington. Before flying to Milwaukee, he ordered land, sea and air preparations for possible military action in Southeast Asia if the situation in Laos continues to deteriorate..." JFK had ordered the Seventh Fleet to the Gulf of Siam to indicate U.S. concern for the deteriorating situation in Laos. The Gulf of Siam (Gulf of Thailand) borders Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The UPI story commented that "More than 5,000 $100-a-plate contributors and $5-a-head spectators crowded into the cavernous Milwaukee Arena to listen to the President's off-the-cuff speech to a Democratic Party rally..."
