49 Photographs, ranging in size, a mixture of professional, candid photos, post cards, and cabinet cards.

A large archive of nearly 50 vintage black and white and sepia colored photographs dating from WWI to post WWII. A handful bear identification stamps or have hand-inscribed annotations on the verso in Russian, some of which has been translated. Housed in a red photo album with unmounted photographs. Overall fine condition with expected minimal wear.

This photo archive depicts numerous units including the Partisan Brigade of A.F. Federov, Society for Assistance to Defense and Aviation - Chemical Construction, an the 44th Independent Guards.

A number of these photographs appear to have been sent home to family members, as they have personal greetings on the back.

Highlights include:

1. An image of what is likely the Red Army, which captured the city of Dnipropetrovsk in 1919. During the holocaust, this city came under German occupation where the Nazi’s would reduce the cities Jewish population from 30,000 to 702 over the course of four days.

2. A group of girls with the commander of the Partisan Brigade.

3. Headquarters of the A.F. Fedora Partisan Brigade in 1943 with numerous figures identified.

4. Group of soldiers awarded with orders and medals of the USSR.

5. A soldiers candid photo in an office setting with a message to his wife on verso which has been translated.

We do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice, unless you inform us otherwise, immediately upon your receipt of invoice***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.
