Muhammad Ali Signed Official 1994 World Series Baseball, with JSA Sticker on Ball

A spectacular official 1994 World Series Rawlings baseball signed by award-winning boxer Muhammad Ali (1942-2016) in strong blue ink. The ball is in beautiful, bright condition with a few handling marks but otherwise fine.  The signed baseball comes with a Letter of Authenticity from JSA/James Spence. A James Spence authentication sticker is found on the ball, and the letter of authenticity bears the same certification number.

An amazing piece of baseball memorabilia! This phenomenal World Series baseball was signed by THE American former heavyweight champion boxer and one of the greatest sporting figures of the 20th century. Ali, an Olympic gold medalist and the first fighter to capture the heavyweight title three times, won 56 times in his 21-year professional career. His outspokenness on issues of race, religion, and politics made him a controversial figure during his career, and the heavyweight’s quips and taunts were as quick as his fists. Born Cassius Clay Jr., Ali changed his name in 1964 after joining the Nation of Islam. Citing his religious beliefs, he refused military induction and was stripped of his heavyweight championship and banned from boxing for three years during the prime of his career. Parkinson’s syndrome severely impaired Ali’s motor skills and speech, but he remained active as a humanitarian and goodwill ambassador.

Ali's recent passing led many to reflect on how passionate his life was. Perhaps his own quotes best describe his philosophies:  "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life", and "I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I'm free to be what I want", and "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth", and “It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe”, and “If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you", and "Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

An important piece of memorabilia evoking memories of the boxing legend who signed it!
