Muhammad Ali Autographed Prompt Card, Re: "The Slave-Master..". PSA slabbed Authentic

Prompt Card Autographed by Muhammad Ali on lined card stock. PSA slabbed Authentic. Card size 8" x 5", Slab size 10" x 6.5".  "T.H.E.M teaches us that this shows that the slave-master has been very successfull [sic] in dominating us with an education beneficial only to themselves, meaning white people." Fine condition.

Ali's message as depicted in this card is perhaps two fold. One which alludes to the current teaching of US history whose viewpoint is from that of White people in the America, the second consideration is a reference to perhaps the difference between the quality of education and to educational opportunities for minorities.

Muhammed Ali was "more than just a Boxer". He was a Black, Muslim man in Pre-Civil Rights Era America and he would go on to be an activist for the remainder of his life. Erasing these facts not only erases his importance to Black people worldwide, but the prejudice and struggles Ali endured. When asked why he would not join the US Army draft to fight in Vietnam, Ali said; “My enemy is white people, not Viet Cong, Chinese or Japanese. You are my opposer when I want freedom, you (are) my opposer when I want Justice, you (are) my opposer when I want equality. You won’t even stand up for me in America for my Religious beliefs, and you want me to go somewhere and fight, but you won’t even stand up for me here in America.”

Muhammad Ali’s influence on the black organizers who formed the backbone of the Civil Rights Movement was distinctly positive and remarkably broad-based. His power as a heroic symbol bridged the entire span of the movement’s ideological spectrum. In ways that nobody else could, Ali appealed simultaneously to people and organizations who otherwise agreed on little politically. In the words of one organizer, Bob Moses, “Muhammad Ali galvanized the Civil Rights Movement.”

This card has a small number "22" in the upper right corner, which likely referred to it being the 22nd card in his motivational speech.
