A fantastic set with an excellent presentation. The revealing questionnaire has McKinley answering "no" to most of the questions about disease, and gives a fairly detailed description of the mortality of family members, some of whom died of old age, others of Typhoid or a "violent fever." He was reelected on March 4, 1901 however McKinley was mortally wounded by an assassin on September 5th of that year and died 8 days later.

A handsome signed application, with additional McKinley's hand scripted notes. Presents well framed with his elegant gelatin photo.
