Four concert program pages signed and dedicated by Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), the prolific 20th C. American composer and conductor. Ca. October 2, 1958 - February 27, 1973. Various venues including New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center. Expected wear including sheared or deckled edges, isolated wrinkles and flattened folds, and isolated chipped edges or mounting traces, else near fine. All four pages feature PSA authentication stickers/serial numbers. The average page size is 8.25" x 11."

Bernstein dedicated these autographs to American female fashion designer Vera Huppé Maxwell (1901-1995). Bernstein's wife, actress Felicia Montealegre Bernstein, was one of Maxwell's devoted clients.

Concert program page, p. 7-8, from October 2-5, 1958 concerts at Carnegie Hall, with Bernstein as musical director and conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, playing William Schuman's "American Festival Overture," signed and inscribed by Bernstein as: "To Vera / With affection / and appreciation / From Felicia / Leonard Bernstein" at top recto. With a PSA sticker numbered AO66872 affixed to the lower right corner. 7.25" x 9.75."

2. Concert program page, p. A-B, from May 16-18, 1968 concerts at Philharmonic Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, with Bernstein as musical director and conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, playing Richard Strauss's "Four Last Songs" and Ludwig van Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9," signed and inscribed by Bernstein as: "For Vera with affection / Leonard Bernstein" at top recto. With a PSA sticker numbered AO66873 affixed to the lower left corner. 8" x 11."

2. Performance program page, p. 17-18, from ca. September 5-8, 1971 performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, with Bernstein as composer and co-author of the text, performing Leonard Bernstein's "Mass: A Theatre Piece for Singers, Players and Dancers," signed and inscribed by Bernstein as: "For Vera / from / Leonard Bernstein" at top recto. With a PSA sticker numbered AO66874 affixed to the lower right corner. 8.25" x 11."

2. Concert program page, p. A-B, from February 22-27, 1973 concerts at Philharmonic Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, with Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, playing works by Joseph Haydn, Roy Harris, and Johannes Brahms, signed and inscribed by Bernstein as: "For Vera / Love / Leonard Bernstein" at top recto. The signature is quite large and flamboyant, measuring approximately 6" x 6" alone. With a PSA sticker numbered AO66871 affixed to the lower left corner. 8.25" x 11."

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
