John F. Kennedy
Washington DC, March 30, 1964
JFK: Warren Commission Proceedings Signed by Gerald Ford & Malcolm Perry.
DS

Compelling multi-page reproduction of the Warren Commission proceedings from March 30, 1964, specifically from Volume 31, Pages 4195–4293, relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The document is boldly signed on the cover page by President Gerald R. Ford and Dr. Malcolm O. Perry, one of the emergency room doctors who attempted to save President Kennedy's life at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Measures 8.5" x 11". The cover bears prominent "TOP SECRET" markings (later canceled upon declassification, with archivist notations dated 12/5/75) and is labeled "Copy 8 of 10." Produced by Ward & Paul Official Reporters in Washington, D.C., the transcript includes typed testimony from multiple witnesses and participants related to the president's medical treatment and emergency response. In fine condition, boldly signed.

The Warren Commission, formally known as the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, was established by President Lyndon B. Johnson and led by Chief Justice Earl Warren. Among its members was Congressman Gerald R. Ford, who later became the 38th President of the United States. Ford played a significant role in shaping the final report, including contributing to the controversial conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Also signing this document is Dr. Malcolm O. Perry, a key figure in the assassination's aftermath. Perry was the first physician to attend to President Kennedy at Parkland Hospital and provided critical medical testimony regarding Kennedy's wounds—particularly the now heavily scrutinized neck wound that led to decades of debate about bullet trajectories and the so-called "single bullet theory." This signed excerpt from the official, declassified proceedings stands at the intersection of political leadership, medical testimony, and one of the most enduring controversies in American history.
