Kennedy John

A classy Sulka men's scarf, owned and treasured by John F. Kennedy who wore the scarf during his life as Congressman and into his early Senatorial career. It was an elegant accouterment to his dress coat and the young John Kennedy would be seen around Boston sporting such classic attire.The iconic Sulka brand was the quintessential men's haberdashery that once counted the Duke of Windsor, Winston Churchill, Henry Ford and Clark Gable among its customers.

The handsome cream colored oblong silk scarf boasts a stunning herringbone pattern and the monogram "JFK" embroidered on one end in black and white. Embellished with classic black and white fringe ends. The label on the inside of the scarf reads SULKA. 12 inches wide x 4 1/2 feet long. Excellent condition with two tiny black marks from age.

Provenance: Robert White Collection; Guernsey's, 1998, Lot 445 which sold for $11,500 including buyer's premium.
