A signed TV contract by actor James Dean, including his telephone and social security numbers. 1p (front and back) with an additional 4pp, measuring 8.5" x 11", New York, dated November 8, 1954. Signed "James Dean", with his telephone number and social security number written below. A Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract between Dean and The Management Corporation of America. Dean was hired to star in the role of Boy in an episode of "Great Electric Theatre" entitled "I'm A Fool", set to air Sunday, November 14, 1954 on CBS. Countersigned by Freddie Fields for the MCA. Stapled together with four additional pages for "Additions Not Part of Standard Form". These sheets include additional agreements between the producer and performer such as "Producer may change the day, hour and point of origination of the broadcast" and "Performer agrees that he will not make any ad lib remarks or comments on the program nor will he add any 'mugging' gestures or grimaces or deviate in any other way from the materials…". Minor wear and soiling throughout. Creasing around the staple at the upper left corner. Boldly signed by Dean.

General Electric Theater was an American anthology series hosted by Ronald Reagan that was broadcast on CBS radio and television. It was broadcast every Sunday evening at 9:00 pm from February 1 1953 to June 3 1962, with each episode being an adaptation of a novel, short story, play, film, or magazine fiction. "I'm A Fool" aired prior to the release of "Rebel Without A Cause", which launched both Dean and Wood into Hollywood stardom. Other high-profile guests of the show included Fred Astaire, Joan Crawford, Tony Curtis, Betty Davis, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Judy Garland, Rita Moreno, Vincent Price, Nancy Reagan, and more!

All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.
