Navy blue genuine leather belt embellished with gold buckles and detailing at the front, made in France, worn by Jacqueline Kennedy and designed by Fernande Desgranges of Paris. 1 inch wide by 24.5 inches long, with slight creasing due to wear. The belt will be accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity and provenance by Mary Gallagher.

Her sense of fashion became the model for many Americans who emulated her taste in clothes. She was deeply influenced by French culture and fashion. These tastes developed from her travel abroad program to France in 1949, and later were displayed in the White House in both her interior decorating and personal fashion.


Provenance: Collection of Mary Gallagher, former personal secretary to Mrs. Kennedy from 1957 to 1964, and whose book "My Life with Jacqueline Kennedy" was an international best-seller.
