[if you can find it…I thank you in advance for this help. Sending you my best regards in which Mrs Sikorsky joins me I am Very Sincerely Igor Sikorsky."

Sikorsky also included a detailed projected travel itinerary through mid-September 1960. The trip appeared to have been a mix of business and pleasure.

Sikorsky was already a well-established aircraft engineer when he emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1919. He founded the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in 1923; its Stratford, Connecticut headquarters are still in operation today. Sikorsky revolutionized the design of helicopters and fixed-wing airplanes. For example, in 1960, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation first manufactured helicopters capable of launching radio-controlled missiles and recovering piloted parachutes. Its helicopters were also deployed for the first time by major airlines like Los Angeles Airways.
