I.M. Pei, the renowned Chinese-American architect, has a significant connection to John F. Kennedy through his design of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. This project, completed in 1979, was Pei's first major cultural building in the United States. The library, located in Boston, Massachusetts, serves as a repository for Kennedy's presidential documents and a museum dedicated to his life and legacy. Pei's design, characterized by its modernist style and geometric clarity, reflects the aspirations and ideals associated with Kennedy's presidency.

I.M. Pei (1917-2019) was a Chinese-American architect celebrated for his innovative and iconic designs that blend modernist principles with a deep sensitivity to context and history. Born in Guangzhou, China, and raised in Shanghai, Pei moved to the United States in 1935 to study architecture, earning degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.

Pei's career spanned over six decades, during which he designed numerous landmark buildings worldwide. Some of his most notable works include the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the John F.
