Hernandez, Johnson, Winningham, Staub, Brooks, Robinson and Darryl Strawberry Signed Baseball, Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity by JSA

An absolute stunner Rawlings Haiti Official National League Baseball, multi signed from members of the Mets Baseball team in 1984. Outstanding vibrant inked signatures, inclusive of Keith Hernandez, Davey Johnson, Herm Winningham, Rusty Staub, Brooks, Bill Robinson and Darryl Strawberry. Housed in an acrylic display box.

Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity by James Spence, who authenticated the above key players, however the baseball was signed by numerous others on the team.

An incredible classic! This 1984 Mets baseball is emblazoned with 27 signatures of Mets players, Coaches and Manager Davey Johnson. James Spence authenticated the signatures of 7 of the key figures shown below:

Darryl Strawberry

Darryl Strawberry was perhaps one of the most electrifying players in Major League Baseball history. He entering the league with the New York Mets in 1983. Throughout his 17-year career, he made eight consecutive all-star game appearances and captured four World Series championships!

8x All-Star, 4x World Series, NL Rookie of the Year, 2x Silver Slugger.

Keith Hernandez

Hernandez was a five-time All-Star who shared the 1979 NL MVP award, and won two World Series titles, one each with the Cardinals and Mets. Given his "Mickey Mantlesque" approach to playing baseball in New York City, and the celebrity status that comes with it, Hernandez became seen by some as the poster-boy for the "party hard; play harder" Mets of the '80s. In 1987, Davey Johnson named Hernandez the first team captain in franchise history.  In 1988, Hernandez won his eleventh and final Gold Glove, and led his team to another division crown. 5x All-Star, 2x World Series, NL MVP 1979, and 11x Golden Glove Award 1979-1988

Manager Davey Johnson

4x All-Star 1968-1970, 1973. 3x World Series Champion, 3x Gold Glove Award, who later went on to become 2x Manager of the Year and was entered into the New York Mets Hall of Fame

Herm Winningham

Drafted by the New York Mets in the 1st round of the 1981 Major League Baseball Draft, Winningham made his major league debut with the Mets on September 1, 1984, and in 1990 was a World Series Champion

Rusty Staub

He was only 284 hits shy of the 3000 hit milestone, and he was the only major league player to have 500 hits with four different teams. Rusty Staub, Ty Cobb, Alex Rodriguez, and Gary Sheffield all share the distinction of being the only players to hit home runs before turning 20 years old, and after turning 40 years old. 6x All Star 1967-1971, 1976

Hubie Brooks

 He played fifteen seasons in MLB from 1980 to 1994. 2x All-Star, 1986, 1987

Hitting coach, Bill Robinson

Following his playing career, Robinson worked as the hitting coach for the New York Mets from 1984-1989.

A beautiful collector piece which would make an excellent gift.
