Archive is comprised of book signed by Harry S. Truman, note and partial envelope on White House stationery, and three items addressed to souvenir recipient Dawn Knothe of Staten Island, 1951-1952.

A hardcover copy of "Mr. President: The First Publication from the Personal Diaries, Private Letters, Papers, and Revealing Interviews of Harry S. Truman" published in 1952 from Farrar, Straus and Young, New York, NY, written by William Hillman, and with photos by Alfred Wagg. Cleanly inscribed and signed "Kindest regards to Miss Dawn Knothe, Harry S. Truman" under photo facing title page in black felt tip pen. Book in fine to very fine condition, with dark green covers and a mixture of text and color photos including some facsimiles of Truman correspondence within, 253 pages and measuring 8.25" x 11.25". In very fine condition, with isolated areas of weak binding including to front, and scattered discoloration facing a few color photos.

Harry S. Truman signed book is accompanied by June 13, 1952 TLS on watermarked White House stationery signed by Matthew J. Connelly, Secretary to the President, along with White House envelope fragment addressed to recipient Dawn Knothe. 6.25" x 9.25" TLS in fine condition with a few paperclip ghost impressions at top and some handling marks; partial envelope inlaid on paper backing. Three additional items addressed or related to Dawn Knothe include a Christmas card from Sweden with envelope bearing dark blue 90 Norge stamp; and New York Central Building No. 143 identification card.
