Description:

Ruth Babe 1895 - 1948 Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Miller Huggins, and Earle Combs signed baseball and additional signed by A. Jorgens and B. Meusel!
A spectacular five times signed baseball including by 3 Yankee Hall of Famers, Babe Ruth as "Babe Ruth", Earle Combs as "Earl Combs", and Miller Huggins as "M. Huggins". And additionally signed by Arndt L. Jorgens as "A. Jorgens" , and Robert Meusel as "Bob Meusel". As Huggins passed away quite young at the age of 51 in 1929, and A. Jorgens was signed to the Yankees in the fall of 1928 with his debut game in April 1929, and Bill Meusel's last season with the Yankees in 1929, the dating of this baseball would be in the early 1929 season before Huggins death. The ball is beautifully showcased in a clear acrylic box/case, and will come with a Letter Of Authenticity from James Spence who authenticated all five signatures. Overall a lightly toned, and clearly used baseball with all five signatures having great clarity and strong contrast. The stitching is in excellent condition, and the ball has some fading/rubbing to the Spaulding logo.

An amazing piece of Yankee and baseball memorabilia. This 1929 signed baseball holds the signatures of 3 Yankee Hall of Famers along with two other key players. Earle Combs was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970, Babe Ruth in 1936 and Miller Huggins was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964. Jorgens played as back up catcher for Bill Dickey, and Meusel was a key member of the 1927 New York Yankees team, which many consider to be one of the greatest baseball teams ever. Equally astounding is that 3 member of the 1927 "Murderer's Row line-up signed this baseball, consisting of the first six hitters in the 1927 team lineup: Earle Combs, Mark Koenig, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Bob Meusel and Tony Lazzeri.

The Yankees were arguably on the biggest roll with the most amazing team in baseball history, having just come off of a streak of three straight championships from 1926 to 1928 managed by Miller Huggins from 1918-1929 until his death in September 1929.

A spectacular piece of both baseball and Yankee history!

Letter Of Authenticity from James Spence, who authenticated all five signatures.
