Fünfundzwanzig Handzeichnungen, #416 from a Limited Edition of 500. Published by Gilhofer & Ranschburg, Vienna, 1919. Large oversize foldout folio of board and cloth, 16.5" x 24," containing 23 of the original 25 matted collontypes, all with their original mats with one mat missing. Each signed by Gustav Klimt within the collotype print. Sheets are adhered to mount at upper corners verso. Each matted to 16" x 23.5."  Light foxing and faded pale stains, mostly affecting the mats only. One with tears, some mats damaged. Sheets lightly toned. Outer wraps worn. Overall near fine.

 

A stunning set of collotypes. We have seen a prominent rare book and art firm offer these individually for $1800 each once framed, as well as located a scarce set of two collotypes come up for auction attaining a price of $1100 for the pair. Here we have 23!
