An excellent autograph document signed "Tho. M. Walker Brevet Brig Genl & Late Col 111th Regt. Pa…Vols.", one page, 7.75" x 12.25", [n.p., n.d.]. Folds, light marginal wear at right, otherwise neatly and boldly penned and in very good condition.

At top Walker notes that the list comprises: "List of the Names & Dates of the battles in which the 111th Regt. Pa. Infy. was Engaged while serving under Maj. Genl. Geo. H. Thomas." Below is the list of 21 battles beginning on October 28, 1863, with the number of WIA, KIA and Missing soldiers listed at right. Notable battles include: Lookout Mountain, Resacca, New Hope Church, Pine Knob, Kennesaw Mountain, Peach Tree Creek, and, of course, the Siege of Atlanta.

Beneath this, Walker adds details about that famed battle: "The 111th Regt Pa Vet Vols led the 1st column that first entered the town of Atlanta, September 2, 1864, and displayed from the City Hall their colors together with those of the 60th N.Y., thereby taking possession of the city...".

Thomas McCormick Walker (1834-1910) raised a regiment at Cedar Mountain in August, 1862 and commanding in Maryland, where he was wounded in action in September 1862. He then led his regiment at Gettysburg, July 1863. Brevetted in 1865.

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.
