Published in conjunction with NASA and McDonnell Aircraft Corp., the contractors responsible for producing the Gemini craft. Signed along lower margin of front cover: "Gordon Cooper/ Gemini V"; "Tom Stafford/ GT 6, 9"; "Wally Schirra/ GT-6"; (on inside cover): "Buzz Aldrin / GT-XII". Contents include explanations on the spacecraft's various components as well as an illustrated, 13-part launch sequence. Exhibits vertical fold at front cover, with heavy wear present to upper left corner. Degrees of scattered surface rubbing, scratching, and age toning throughout. Good to fair overall- a nice relic from the Gemini project!

Project Gemini was the second human spaceflight program conducted in the United States, following Project Mercury and preceding the Apollo program. Gemini's objective was the development of space travel techniques to support the Apollo mission of landing astronauts on the Moon. Indeed, it allowed the United States to catch up and overcome the lead in human spaceflight the Soviet Union had obtained in the early years of the Space Race.
