To the merchant Saturgus in full and loosely translated to English: "Dear Faithful One. I have received your letter of the 9th of this month and the answer is that Major General v. Truchses as well as the Secretary of State v. Viebahn have been ordered to help you in the matter of the complaint of Count Bielinsky against you. Your affectionate King."

Friedrich Saturgus (1697-1754) was a German merchant in Konigsberg. The Saturgus family were the richest grain traders in East Prussia and had excellent standing with Frederick William I and his successor, Frederick II.

Frederick Sebastian Wunibald Truchsess von Waldburg (1677-1745) was a Prussian lieutenant general and diplomat. He entered the Prussian military service in 1702, became a major in 1715, and in 1718 became a lieutenant-in-chief. He received the Black Eagle Order and his name was inscribed on the Equestrian statue of Frederick the Great in 1851.

Johann Franz Moritz von Viebahn (1684-1739) was Prussian Minister of Justice and ambassador to the Polish royal court. Viebahn studied law and was enrolled in Giessen in 1701. He was raised to the Prussian nobility on April 22, 1727.

Frederick William I was the King in Prussia and Elector of Brandenburg from 1713 to 1740. He is renowned for transforming Prussia into a formidable military power through strict discipline and centralized administration, laying the foundation for its future prominence. He significantly expanded and modernized the Prussian army, introducing reforms in training, tactics, and recruitment. He prioritized military strength over courtly extravagance, famously creating the "Potsdam Giants" regiment of exceptionally tall soldiers. Frederick William I is also known for his frugal lifestyle, emphasis on military efficiency, and sometimes harsh rule.
