FOUR Bill Clinton Impeachment Trial Tickets, Pristine!

Four yellow admissions tickets from the U.S. Senate Impeachment Trial of 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton (born 1946). Our collection includes, in chronological order: “Jan 14 1999”; "Jan 15 1999"; "Jan 21 1999"; and "Feb 04 1999." The auto-signature of U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms James W. Ziglar appears at bottom. “Rule VI, Galleries,” a list of regulations outlining visitor conduct, is reproduced in full verso. In extra fine condition. Three of the four tickets measure 5.375” x 2.625" while one measures 5.25" x 2.625."

Impeachment proceedings against sitting president Bill Clinton were held from January 7 - February 12, 1999, during the first session of the 106th Congress. Clinton, who was involved in sex scandal involving a White House intern, was accused with obstruction of justice and perjury. U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist (1924-2005) presided over the Senate portion of the process.

The bearer of our tickets saw the following proceedings, based on the dates on their tickets:

- January 14th and 15th: House of Representatives prosecutors presented their case to convict President Clinton.

- January 21st: President Clinton's legal team presented their defense.

- February 4th: the Senate voted not to call Monica Lewinsky to the stand, but permitted the presentation of excerpts of videotaped depositions.

Of the three U.S. Presidents ever impeached--Andrew Johnson, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton-- all were acquitted of charges.

Four souvenirs from the Clinton impeachment trial, in impeccable condition!
