RUSSIAN COSMONAUTS Comprises:

(1) Yuri Gagarin. Photograph Signed "Gagarin" in Russian in lower blank margin. Color, 4" x 6.5" overall, image 4" x 6". Slight wear at edges. On April 12, 1961, aboard Vostok 1, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space.

(2) Valentina Tereshkova and Valery Bykovsky. Photograph Signed "V Tereshkova" and "Bykovsky" in Russian. Black and white, 6" x 4.5" overall, image 6" x 4". Aboard Vostok 5 from June 14-19, 1963, Russian cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky set the record for longest solo flight on a spacecraft. In her June 16-19, 1963, joint flight aboard Vostok 6, Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space. It was the final flight in the Vostok program

(3) Pavel Belyayev and Alexei Leonov. Photograph Signed "Belyayev" and "A. Leonov" in Russian in lower blank margin. Color Posta=card, 5.75" x 4.25" overall, image 5.75" x 3.75", printed text in Russian on verso. Aboard Voskhod 2 from March 18-19, 1965, Alexei Leonov took the first spacewalk, the first Extra Vehicular Activity outside the spacecraft. This was the final flight in the Voskhod program.
