Photograph 2
Jackie Kennedy rows a small boat while Caroline and John Jr. sit calmly beside her, likely during an outing in Central Park or a private estate. The serene setting captures her effort to maintain normalcy and privacy in the children's lives after the presidency.

Photograph 3
Standing in a well-appointed room filled with books and a framed portrait of President Kennedy, Jackie poses beside a young John Jr. This image reflects her quiet dignity and commitment to preserving JFK's legacy within their home life.

Photograph 4
Jacqueline Kennedy walks hand-in-hand with Caroline and John Jr., all dressed with coordinated elegance, likely arriving at a public or diplomatic event. Even in widowhood, Jackie remained a poised figure in the public eye, often seen leading her children with grace.

Photograph 5
Seated on a yacht or beachside veranda, Jackie enjoys a private family moment with Caroline and John Jr., surrounded by ocean views. The Kennedys' love for the sea is evident in countless summer retreats, from Hyannis Port to Mediterranean voyages.

Photograph 6
Jackie, dressed stylishly in a mid-length coat, guides young Caroline up the steps of a Pan Am aircraft, likely during overseas travel in the mid-1960s. The image speaks to her cosmopolitan lifestyle and protective presence during frequent international trips.

Photograph 7
In a tender domestic scene, Jackie embraces John Jr. as he sits among plush toys, both sharing a moment of joy. The image underscores her nurturing role as a mother, especially in the years when she shielded her children from media scrutiny.

Photograph 8
Jacqueline Kennedy, dressed in black and holding an umbrella, walks with Caroline and John Jr. in a formal reception line on a rainy day. The setting suggests a ceremonial or diplomatic occasion, capturing her continued role as a dignified public figure.

Jacqueline Kennedy, as First Lady of the United States (1961–1963), helped define an era of American elegance, diplomacy, and media sophistication. Following the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, Jackie relocated to New York City with her children and remained a devoted mother while carefully maintaining her public image. These photographs span the post-White House period, chronicling not only her travels and formal appearances but also the quieter, nurturing moments that reveal the deep familial bond between Jackie and her children. This period also marked the transformation of her public identity—from First Lady to enduring American icon.
