Fantastic FDR 12 pc Archive- Photographs, Memorandums, Presidential Memorabilia & More!

An archive consisting of photographs, inaugural invitations, typed memorandums, and other miscellaneous materials related to the presidency and general political career of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Totaling 12 pieces in all and ranging in date between 1929 and 1941. Please see below and accompanying photos for additional information on contents. Varying conditions, including toning, creasing, silvering, and minor tearing throughout. Overall, very good- a diverse collection!

The lot includes:

1.) Pair of two sets of inaugural invitations dated January 20, 1941. Includes (2) admission cards, and (4) accompanying portraits with printed facsimile signatures featuring FDR and Vice President Wallace. 6.25" x 10".

2.) Typed memorandum, dated May 13, 1929. Unsigned, reads in full: "Please keep these till I get back, and tell Governor Lehman that I think I will wait to appoint the other two members of the White Face Mountain Commission until I get back. As you probably know, former Lieut. Gov. Conway writes that he cannot serve." 9" x 6".

3.) Typed memorandum from Western Union, dated May 25, 1930. Unsigned, reads in full: "Heartily approve of appointment of Governor Smith to Palisades Interstate Park Commission. I am wiring him expressing earnest hope he will accept. Will you call him up Monday and make appointment if he says yes and advise J.Du Pratt White and also Governor Larson". 9" x 6.5".

4.) Photograph depicting (from left to right) FDR, Herbert Lehman, and Alfred "Al" Smith, ca. 1933. Features printed facsimile signatures from all three along bottom edge. 8" x 10".

5.) Unissued ticket endorsed by the Democratic National Convention admitting "one Roosevelt nominator to any national rally in the United States Saturday evening, June 27, 1936". 5.25" x 3" (folded).

6.) Photograph depicting FDR and son Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. to his left, n.d. 8" x 10".

7.) James Roosevelt typed quotation signed, reads in full: "An Oratory/ My father gave me these hints on speech making: 'Be sincere… be brief… be seated.'" 6" x 4".

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
